About me

I've been a Christian for 25 years, but I'm still a real person who stumbles daily (which is to say I fall flat on my face).  But?  I get back up daily, too.  I hope this blog will reflect the truth- that I love God with all my heart but am still, at times, a mess.  I'm no Bible scholar.  Nor am I a writer (which will become obvious as you read this blog).  I'm just a pudgy, midwestern wife and mother to seven wonderful people, trying to successfully keep up with everything on my plate.

A few other facts about me...
I have one husband (of 24 years), 5 sons, 2 daughters, 2 stepsons, 1 stepdaughter, and 6 grandchildren.
Two of my kids arrived through the blessing of adoption.
I am also an adoptee and met my birth family in my twenties.
I currently homeschool the 4 kids still living at home, Pre-K through high school. 
My pre-Christian years were a bit wild and turbulent, which has given me a soft spot for troubled youth and lost causes.  I was both.
